Water Treatment

Before water is safe to drink it has to be cleaned in a water treatment plant.

This happens in three simple steps:
1. Coagulation. Chemicals are added to form tiny, sticky particles, which slowly gather, removing colour and dirt.

2. Sedimentation. The dirt particles become so heavy that they sink.

3. Filtration. The clear water is passed through filters, which remove any remaining pieces of dirt.
