Where does our water come from?

  1. The drinking water supplied to homes in County Dublin is supplied by the River Liffey, the River Dodder and the River Vartry.
  2. All the water comes from either rain, hail or snow.
  3. Some rainfall will evaporate soon after it falls, while the rest will either join streams and rivers, or will seep through the ground to join underground water supplies.
